IU School of Medicine Seeks Patients For Osteoarthritis StudyINDIANAPOLIS -- The Indiana University School of Medicine Arthritis Research Center is seeking participants for a study evaluating the safety and effectiveness of over-the-counter nutritional supplements in the treatment of knee osteoarthritis, also known as degenerative arthritis. To qualify for the study, participants must be at least 40 years of age and have had knee pain for at least six months. Participants must be able to walk and maintain normal activities without assistance. Those enrolled in the study will be required to make six outpatient visits at the IU Medical Center in a six-month period. Study-related exams, laboratory tests and a knee X-ray will be performed free of charge. Participants will be compensated for their time. For additional information, please call 317-274-7798.
